Our account has been taken down three times since July of 2021. We will continue to update both Texas Cannabis Today and Texas Hemp Today as a precaution to the takedowns that are occurring around Instagram at this time. Thank you for your support. Check us out on Instagram now!
On July 29, 2021, Texas Cannabis Today’s main Instagram account was deactivated without warning. While it is a known occurrence, social media doesn’t take kindly to cannabis accounts, which is reasonable. Unfortunately, we are left to appeal and try to get our social account back.
Unfortunately, this is a growing trend in the cannabis community and anyone associated with cannabis. Even a fellow friend and cannabis influencer, Dela Stoner from San Antonio, Texas also fell victim to Instagram on the same day as we did. Please follow his account if you love:

Below is the first letter that I sent through Instagram “Help Center.” My next few posts will be documenting my journey to get my account back from the digital void.

What you can do to help:
Please write a comment on my social media and tag me talking about how you value my account. I am compiling comments to send to Instagram and show that my account is an asset to the community and here to share what cannabis is doing in the state of Texas.
My Cannabis Instagram Appeal Letter:
My name is Grace Delgado, and I am behind @texascannabistoday and the only female, Latina, liberal woman who is running a Texas cannabis account.
Both Texas and cannabis are male-dominated, and I give my viewers a perspective that none of the other accounts can reach because of my unique voice.
For the past three years, I have built my reputation as a resource via Instagram. I travel to different expos and show Texas what it looks like to witness a new industry in another state.
And this account, it is vital I have access to the audience that has come to know, love, and trust my content.
I keep my audience scrolling through valuable content, keeping them in the app. I’ve shifted the Texas cannabis industry by finding new ways to display information that best serves the user within the app and log on to Instagram to access that content.
I’ve studied Instagram to find what works best for my audience while learning what will be friendly to those who continue to live through the stigma of cannabis.
I am here for the love of social media and the plant. I have a unique voice and perspective that I take extremely seriously.
